1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the BlockGuardian platform operated by DisciplineLabs Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

2. The service

BlockGuardian is a cloud-based block management platform for UK leasehold properties. The service includes compliance tracking, case management, document storage, resident communication, and related features as described on our website.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • One email address may be associated with multiple BlockGuardian accounts (e.g., if you manage multiple properties)
  • Account administrators are responsible for managing user access and permissions within their account

4. Subscription and payment

  • New accounts receive a 45-day free trial with full access to all features
  • After the trial period, a valid payment method is required to continue using write functionality
  • Pricing is per-building, billed monthly via Stripe
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice

5. Your data

  • You retain ownership of all data you upload to BlockGuardian
  • We process your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy
  • You can export your data at any time using the built-in data export feature
  • Upon account deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our retention policy

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload malicious files or content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts
  • Interfere with the operation of the service
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the service
  • Resell access to the service without our written consent

7. Compliance disclaimer

BlockGuardian helps you track and manage compliance requirements, but we do not provide legal, regulatory, or professional compliance advice. You remain responsible for ensuring your properties meet all applicable regulations. BlockGuardian is a management tool, not a substitute for professional compliance assessment.

8. Availability and support

  • We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime
  • Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DisciplineLabs Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately, though we will retain data as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
