Feature
Resident communication
Three channels designed for the leasehold context: private messaging, community noticeboard, and structured polls. GDPR-compliant by default.
Private messaging
Thread-based private messages between residents and management. By default, residents can only contact staff (Admin and Manager roles) — they cannot discover or message other residents. This protects privacy and prevents the communication chaos of group chats.
- GDPR-compliant contact restrictions by default
- Unread message tracking with badge counts
- Document sharing within conversations
- Staff can contact all users when needed

Community noticeboard
A shared bulletin board for announcements, updates, and discussions. Both staff and residents can post. Threaded comments keep conversations organised. Moderators can remove inappropriate content.
- Threaded discussions on every post
- New activity highlighting since your last visit
- Moderation tools for managers and admins
- Post and comment timestamps for transparency

Structured polls with leasehold voting rules
Collect resident decisions with yes/no or multiple-choice polls. Block Guardian enforces one vote per unit — not per person — reflecting how leasehold decisions actually work. Polls can be scoped to the entire account, a specific building, or a sub-block.
One vote per unit
Prevents gaming in shared units. Only the first resident per unit can cast the vote.
Anonymous or public
Poll creators choose whether votes are visible to other users or kept private.
Scoped voting
Run polls across the whole account, a single building, or a specific sub-block.
Optional deadlines
Set a closing date or close the poll manually when you have enough responses.
